Different decoration techniques are available in all situations. The choice to use depends on a number of considerations. We have compiled a short and simple guide, explaining the differences between the most popular decoration options we offer.
E m b r o i d e r y
Embroidery is durable and offers a higher perceived value finish. This method is excellent for jackets, towelling, knitwear and shirts.
P r i n t i n g
Screen printing is carried out directly on to the garment, often the most cost effective option. Used for T Shirts, Sweatshirts and other ready made clothing. Transfer printing is performed using an image which is applied with heat on to the surface of the garment.
E m b r o i d e r e d B a d g e s
The idea behind this is the same as for embroidery. Instead of embroidering directly on to the garment, the design is embroidered on to a fabric background and then sewn or heat transferred on to the garment.
W o v e n L a b e l s
If you are ordering many items or want to truly customise your garment, woven labels can give you immense credibility - your own brand! Woven labels can also produce finer detail and smaller letters. The labels are sewn or ironed on to the garment.
E m b o s s i n g
A printing method that punches the print onto the fabric three-dimensionally. The effect is like blind-stamping subtle and exclusive. This method can be used on most materials, but preferably on cotton, polyester and fleece.
